PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Privacy by design means that you remain in complete control of who can see your data and to what level of granularity. Your data is not mixed or co-mingled with others’ data to prevent accidental data leakage.
SECURITY BY DESIGN
Security by design means that every piece of code and every technology item is risk-assessed, and suitable security is built in to reduce the risk of your material being obtained or corrupted.
SUSTAINABILITY BY DESIGN
We have partnered with Google to use technologies and designs that minimise consumption and utilise Google’s data centres that run on renewable energy sources.
INFORMATION SECURITY
Your data security is our priority. Our platform will not allow any sharing of competitively sensitive information. It has been built to solely share sustainability data that will help you and your counterparties improve their sustainability performance.
That is why we have built layered defences within our system to keep your information safe at all times:
Data Separation
Your data is stored within its own area within the cloud. This means it is physically separate from any other client data, minimising risk of exposure or corruption.
Encryption
Your data is encrypted whether at rest or in motion meaning that it is never left exposed whether stored, or on the move.
Data Protection Policies
Data cannot be accessed by employees of TRACT unless pre-approved by you for time-limited purposes.
Penetration Testing
We employ professional penetration testers (also known as ethical hackers) to conduct regular penetration tests to improve our defences. For peace of mind, these results are shared regularly with our clients.
CYBER SECURITY
As an additional layer of defense, we use classic, trusted technology to heighten the cyber security around your data.
ISO 27001 Certification
We are in the process of moving towards ISO 27001 certification and our aim is to be SOC 2 Type 2 attested in 2024.
PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY
As the data owner, you maintain full control over who has visibility of your data, and to what level, at any given time.
We offer three layers of protection against loss of data privacy:

ANONYMISATION
We use statistical functions to ensure our data set is big enough to protect anonymity.

DECONTEXTUALISATION
When making what could be confidential information visible, we anonymise it by decontextualising it. By removing all of the contextual data from a data sample, we can help to identify issues in your supply chain without compromising the privacy of the underlying information.

DATA CLASSIFICATION
Every single piece of your data is classified according to its security level. This determines how and where it is stored and who has access to it. This allows highly confidential data to be segregated and more heavily guarded.
TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS
GOOGLE
Our technology has been built in collaboration with Google which enables us to align what we do, with how we do it. Google’s drive to decarbonise energy consumption, reuse finite resources and support water security across all operations means that our technology is sustainable by design.
Our partnership with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) gives us a vast amount of computational power and storage far bigger than we could achieve on our own. It provides security and the ability to scale at pace.
GLOBAL FOREST WATCH
TRACT carried out an extensive search to establish a partnership with a remote monitoring service provider to augment our Deforestation analysis and metrics.
We are excited to announce that we will partner with World Resources Institute’s flagship remote monitoring platform Global Forest Watch, the Pro Edition that supports supply chain sustainability.
Global Forest Watch brings to the partnership trusted, science-based data and analytics, and a deep global network of sustainability focused NGO’s, academic and philanthropic institutions and governments. Together we endeavor to bring the public and private spheres of the agri-food space together. The partnership will enable a phased integration of our respective technologies.
