Jon Dayton
Chief Technology Officer
Responsible for the technical leadership of the company. Oversees all aspects of engineering of the product, including architecture, development, data science, and research.
Jon Dayton is an engineering leader with over 13 years of experience as a technical leader and cofounder. Coupled with his former experience in financial analysis, business management and startup accelerators, Jon is a robust leader of technology teams driving communication between departments to align company visions and exceed stakeholder expectations.
An innovator of next-generation software solutions for indoor agriculture, Jon most recently held the position of Head of Software Engineering at IUNU, where he led the development of the company’s AI-enabled suite of agricultural management and analysis applications. Prior to IUNU he was the Chief Technology Officer at Artemis and oversaw all aspects of engineering and product. He previously held roles at Vestorly as Director of Engineering and LoveCrossing as Technical Cofounder.
Prior to his executive technology roles, Jon held several positions at IBM, most notably as a lead financial analyst for IBM's worldwide Software Group. His broad experience also includes management and finance roles at Disney/ABC, VentureCapital.org, and Shadow Mountain Records.
Jon's unique combination of expertise in software engineering and business development provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the full software product life cycle. This positions him as a leader who excels at guiding technology teams to incorporate a broader perspective, ensuring the overall success of the product.
He is currently a board member and past president of the Yale School of Management Alumni Association NYC chapter, and is an active member in both business and developer communities.
